Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!

MAY 30--Zoinks! A Minnesota man is facing felony drug charges after his six-year-old son turned up at school with a Scooby-Doo backpack filled with marijuana. According to a criminal complaint filed in Ramsey County District Court (a copy of which you can find below), when a teacher asked Corey Randle's son to check his backpack for a folder, the boy pulled out a sandwich bag containing 25 packets of pot. School officials seized the weed and called St. Paul police, but not before Randle realized that his boy had left home with the stash. The 29-year-old arrived at Hope Community Academy and removed his son (and the now pot-free backpack) from school without signing the boy out, according to investigators. When subsequently confronted at his home, Randle told cops he dealt drugs 'to pay for cigarettes.' In addition to the drug rap, Randle, pictured at right in a Ramsey County Sheriff's Office mug shot, was charged with misdemeanor child endangerment. (3 pages)
