The Smoking Gun has come across a few skells in our day, but William Ard is really one sick bastard. The 47-year-old Florida man was arrested September 5 for shooting his own dog execution style, according to this Broward County sheriff's report. Ard told cops that he shot his dog Jake after a "confrontation" with the animal (amazingly, he compared the beef to a "domestic violence" situation). Ard, who now faces a felony animal cruelty charge, shot Jake in the back of the head at close range, leaving powder burns on the poor dog's neck. (2 pages)
