During the height of the Cold War, the U.S. government wanted
nothing more than to depose Fidel Castro. To this end, as
reflected in these recently released U.S. Army documents,
military officials concocted possible plots (all of which carried
cool code names) aimed at toppling the Cuban leader. While our favorite
kooky scheme is "Operation Good Times," you have to love the
American ingenuity at work in "Operation True Blue." (8 pages)
