We were cleaning out The Smoking Gun HQ the other day when we came across these assorted Jimi Hendrix records. Along with a copy of his rap sheet (page 4), we've included a couple of documents filed in New York City's Surrogate's Court following the musician's fatal 1970 drug overdose in England. With a paternity claim pending, lawyers were left to conduct an (unsuccessful) overseas plasma search to try and prove their claim (page 3). Another filing (pages 1-2) features some square attorney's wonderfully stilted description of the guitar virtuoso. (4 pages)
