Michael Jackson Facing Arrest

Pop star accused of multiple child molestation counts

NOVEMBER 19--Michael Jackson is facing multiple felony counts for the alleged molestation of a California boy, according to an arrest warrant issued for the pop star.

Jackson, 45, has been cited for multiple violations of Section 288(a) of the California Penal Code, which prohibits "lewd or lascivious acts with a child under age 14." The reported victim in the molestation case is a 12-year-old Los Angeles boy.

The singer's sprawling Neverland Ranch estate was raided yesterday by dozens of investigators from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's office. Along with a search warrant, officers carried an arrest warrant for Jackson, who was reportedly in Las Vegas filming a video. According to a sheriff's spokesman, authorities are now negotiating with Jackson's lawyer for his surrender on the warrant, for which bail was set at $3 million.
