UPDATE: Former Hilton pal sold tape for $50,000
NOVEMBER 13--Paris Hilton is once again on the
receiving end--legally speaking, of course. The
airhead heiress has just been sued for slander by her
co-star in the explicit sex video that has recently
spread like a California wildfire. In a blistering kiss-and-tell complaint filed late yesterday in Los Angeles Superior
Court, Rick Salomon alleges that the 22-year-old
Hilton, her parents, and her spokesperson have
wrongfully accused him of improper--and perhaps
criminal--conduct in connection with the filming of
the video and the tape's subsequent sale to an
Internet porn site. Salomon's lawsuit, a copy of which
you'll find below, seeks a minimum of $10 million in
damages. Salomon claims the Hilton camp has maligned
him in a bid to divert attention from Paris's "sexual
promiscuity, drug use." When news of the raunchy
video's existence surfaced last week, Hilton's parents
issued a statement noting they were "saddened at how
low human beings will stoop to exploit their
daughter." They added that anyone "involved in this
video is guilty of criminal activity and will be
reported to the proper authorities and vigorously
prosecuted." In addition, flack Siri
Garber suggested to reporters that Hilton was loaded
when the tape was made three
years ago (when the heiress was 19). Garber called
Salomon, 33, "vile and disgusting"
and said Hilton "is the victim here." In his
complaint, Salomon describes Hilton as an "active
participant" in the mid-2001 hijinks in his Hollywood
Hills home and recounts an episode caught on the
27-minute videotape: "Towards the end of the
videotape, Hilton is shown standing alone in a
well-lit bathroom slowly scanning the camcorder all
over her stomach, breasts and face to make sure that
anyone who watched the video would clearly see her
breasts in good lighting, as opposed to the less
flattering light of the dark bedroom." Can you blame a
girl? (9 pages)
