Cindy Sheehan Arrested At Bush Ranch

DECEMBER 29--Antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan was arrested yesterday outside President George W. Bush's Texas home for allegedly blocking the road leading to the Crawford ranch. Sheehan, 49, and four other protesters were busted after refusing police requests to move. The group was booked into the McLennan County Sheriff's Office jail, where the below mug shot of Sheehan was taken. The protesters were each charged with obstructing a highway, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum of six months in prison and a $2000 fine. Following the 2004 death in Iraq of her son Casey, a 24-year-old Army Specialist, Sheehan became a leading critic of the war, leading protests outside Bush's Texas home, the White House, and the U.S. Mission in New York.
