Mug shot roundup: From pinstripes to jail stripes

APRIL 3--It seems appropriate that this mug shot roundup kicks off with a deeply misguided baseball fan/perp, especially since this week has seen a) a New York Yankees pitcher take a DUI plea, and b) the opening of the odious team's Bronx palace. As for the other booking photos, a few notes: 1) While hair picks are usually seized by police, the 29-year-old Idaho woman on page #5 was allowed to keep hers firmly in place; 2) Busted Monday for failing to appear in court on a disorderly conduct charge, the 19-year-old Floridian on page #6 clearly needs etiquette lessons; and 3) The Texas man, 25, on page #11 was arrested for speeding, not hitting below the belt in a prizefight.
