Friday Photo Fun X Results

Lee Harvey Oswald used the blanket as place to store infamous rifle

MAY 1--Again, this week's "Friday Photo Fun" contest got farked.

The sharp members of the Fark.com community sussed out that the blanket pictured below was the property of Lee Harvey Oswald. The gunman had used the item to conceal the Mannlicher-Carcano rifle with which he subsequently shot President John F. Kennedy. The evidence photo is part of a National Archives collection on the November 1963 assassination.

As a result of Fark's intercession--which is beginning to feel like a weekly occurrence--we will now wade through hundreds of correct answers, from which the names of five entrants will be plucked. Those lucky winners will each get their choice of a nonfiction title on The New York Times best seller list.
