SEPTEMBER 18--For today's "Friday Photo Fun" contest, entrants had to examine the below photo and determine what celebrity died of an overdose at this modest residence.

While just about any famous person who died an untimely death--John Belushi, Chris Farley, Janis Joplin, Lenny Bruce, Brad Renfro, Marilyn Monroe, Kurt Cobain, Sid Vicious, etc.--received votes, a huge number of the 1200 entrants correctly identified Dana Plato as the OD victim. In May 1999, the "Diff'rent Strokes" actress died in a motor home parked outside a Moore, Oklahoma residence owned by her fiance's parents.

We're guessing that a majority of these correct submissions came as a result of master sleuthing on Fark.com (to our relief, it has been several months since the contest was farked like this).

Five names will now be drawn at random from among the avalanche of correct entries, with the winners getting their choice of a title on The New York Times fiction or nonfiction best seller list.
