The Department Of Justice Is No Longer Looking To Hire A Medicine Man

On Tuesday, the Department of Justice posted a notice on a federal business opportunities web site announcing that it was looking for a vendor to “conduct Native American ceremonies and provide instruction…in the Native American Faith” to inmates at the federal prison in Duluth, Minnesota.

The solicitation was headlined “Native American Medicine Man.”

However, after the Drudge Report this afternoon linked to the page on the FedBizOpps.gov web site, the job title was quickly switched to “Native American Services/Spiritual Guide.”

Prospective candidates will still need to be familiar with topics such as medicine wheel, sweat lodge, the sacred pipe, and eagle feathers.

Key question: why is Keanu Reeves behind bars in Duluth?
Wow, what ignorance from someone who should know better. In the "Native American Faith" ... in *which* Native American Faith? There are/were many. It is like confusing an Irish Protestant with an Italian Roman Catholic but worse.
Uh. I've been to one of these "ceremonies". What they're looking for is a guy with a big jar of peyote.
I spent four frigid years at Duluth Air Force Base, now, this Federal Prison. There will never be enough medicine, sweat, spirits, or feathers to make life tolerable in Duluth.
"Prospective candidates will still need to be familiar with topics such as medicine wheel, sweat lodge, the sacred pipe, and eagle feathers" So, they're still looking for a medicine man.
