What Is Donald Trump, Newborn Birther, Trying To Hide From Us?

What is Donald Trump hiding?

The multimillionaire developer has, overnight, become a leading voice of the “birther” movement, members of which doubt that President Barack Obama was born in the United States (and, thus, is unable to produce an authentic U.S. birth certificate).

“It’s inconceivable that, after four years of questioning, the president still hasn’t produced his birth certificate,” Trump told Newsmax. “I’m just asking President Obama to show the public his birth certificate. Why’s he making an issue out of this?" To prove how easy it was for a household employee to find his birth certificate, Trump, 64, crowed, “It took me one hour to get my birth certificate.”

As seen above, he provided the conservative web site with what he purports to be his birth certificate.

Except the document is not an official New York City birth certificate, but rather a document generated by Jamaica Hospital, where Trump’s mother Mary reportedly gave birth in June 1946. Official birth certificates are issued (and maintained) by the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene’s Office of Vital Records.

So, what is Trump trying to conceal?

On a possibly related note, Jamaica Hospital has been the recipient of significant financial largesse from the Trump family. In fact, the Queens institution includes the Trump Pavilion, a nursing and rehabilitation facility that was named for Mary Trump.

[If The Donald wants to hunt in his sock drawer for the official birth certificate, he should look for a document that includes an official Department of Health stamp and resembles city forms like ones used decades ago, like this or this.]

And this is the beauty of what he has done...He released the same Certificate of Birth that the President did. If it's good enough for the President and no one in the media will investigate, how come it's not good enough for Trump? If I can't get a Driver's license in my state with the Certificate, how can I be President with it?

Wrong. The birth certificate released by Obama was from the State of Hawaii, not a hospital. See it at factcheck.org or snopes.

I'm not so wonderful as other commentators here, since i loose my BC on a regular basis and the city supplies me with an embossed seal stamped certified photocopy, identical every time, showing my mother and fathers name and mothers maiden name, and if I'm not mistaken my baby footprints, the name of the hospital and the name of a well known doctor. I can't tell you for sure about the foot prints because I don't know where it is right now, but I know I can get a sealed copy of the original any time, for a few dollars. Our city in Ohio has apparently not seen any cheaper way of providing a BC other than giving a sealed and certified photo copy of the original, which is the same every time. As a blood somewhat distant relative of Obama, I can't understand why Obama can't do the same. No one questions he is related to Mareen Duvall of Middle Plantation Maryland, Dick Cheney, Robert Duvall, Harry Truman, Wallis Warfield Simpson, and now the Oracle of Omaha, Warren Buffet (which numerous mainstream papers have reported), but the birth certificate seems to be elusive still. As a little of a moralist, though not a saint, I'm a little critical of Donald Trump, but like his idea of the President handling the duties of the US Trade Representative personally, instead of delegating *** Sincerely, Michael Volz

It is $21.50 for a copy of your Ohio birth certificate. It is not a photocopy like you describe, in fact it looks a lot like the Certificate of Live Birth that some less than erudite citizens have decided doesn't count. Maybe it's been a while since you needed to request a copy. http://www.odh.ohio.gov/vitalstatistics/vitalstats.aspx Linked below is a famous Ohioan's birth certificate. What can't be believed is why some entity like "Smoking Gun" isn't even intellectually curious about a potential story of the century about the biggest political scam in our nation's history. Just do it. Pretend you're investigating some Hollywood celebrity and just go wherever the evidence takes you. Don't be afraid... the nation will thank you.

It would take them to the same piece of evidence any reasonably informed person would find within 5-20 minutes of actually looking, his state issued and completely valid Birth Certificate. The only reason this is a story is the continued interest of the perpetually ignorant.
