Astute Utah Cops See Through Perp's Claim That She Was TV’s Rudy Huxtable
Collared for shoplifting goods worth $591 from a J.C. Penney in Utah, Leah Davis apparently thought she could get a break from cops by claiming to have played Rudy Huxtable in TV’s “The Cosby Show.”
The 32-year-old Davis, who also told Provo police that she owned the mall where she was busted on New Year’s Eve, is not likely to be mistaken for Keshia Knight Pulliam, 32, the actress who played Bill Cosby’s youngest child.
Davis is being held in the Utah County jail in lieu of $5000 bond on retail theft and criminal trespass counts. According to an arrest affidavit, her rap sheet includes several previous theft collars. Davis is pictured, adjacent to "Rudy," in the above mug shot.
