Sen. Lady Gaga (D-NY) Bans All Political Banners At Her Concerts
Planning on attending a Lady Gaga concert and want to show your support for her barnstorming campaign to repeal the ban against gays serving openly in the military?
Make sure to leave your “political banners” at home.
Such signs are outlawed at the singer/political activist’s gigs, according to the security rider the performer (real name: Stefani Germanotta) provides to concert promoters. Other banned items, as seen in this excerpt (click to enlarge) from the 2010 rider, include laser pens, fireworks, and, strangely, “crash helmets.”
Pamphlets, buttons, and those nifty Styrofoam hats do not appear on the banned list.
