McDonald's Employee Took Credit For Filming Brutal Beating In Baltimore Fast Food Joint

UPDATE: McDonald’s fires worker who videotaped brutal attack.

A McDonald’s worker has taken credit for filming and uploading to YouTube the latest viral video to capture a brutal assault at a fast food restaurant.

The employee, identified as Vernon Hackett on social network accounts, posted the video clip to his YouTube page earlier this week. According to his Facebook page, the 22-year-old Hackett, pictured at right, has worked for McDonald's since September 2009 .

The April 18 assault, seen below, took place at a McDonald’s location on Kenwood Avenue in Rosedale, Maryland, a Baltimore suburb. According to the Baltimore County Police Department, a 14-year-old girl has been charged as a juvenile in connection with the assault, while charges are pending against an 18-year-old woman. “The incident remains under investigation and the State’s Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case,” added investigators.

Police said the assault victim "appeared to be having a seizure" when officers arrived at the McDonald's at around 8 PM. The victim suffered cuts to the mouth and face during the attack and was transported by medics to Franklin Square Hospital for treatment, according to a police report (click to see page 1 and page 2).

The police report identifies the victim as 22-year-old Chrissy Lee Polis, who appears identical to Christopher Lee Polis, whose rap sheet includes convictions for disorderly conduct, property destruction, and prostitution, according to court records. The civil rights group Equality Maryland has identified the McDonald’s victim as a transgender woman.

Polis told police that she was walking to the restaurant’s bathroom when she “got into a verbal argument with two black females” who “began punching her in the face with their fists and pulling her hair.” A female bystander told cops that when she tried to break up the fight, the suspects punched her in the face, which “caused her to become disoriented.” Police noted that the woman, who declined medical treatment, had “redness around her right eye which is consistent with someone punching her in the face.” 

A manager at the Rosedale McDonald’s said she was “not allowed to speak to a reporter." In a corporate statement this afternoon, McDonald’s said it was “shocked by the video from a Baltimore franchise,” and called the incident “unacceptable, disturbing and troubling.” The firm added, “We are working with the franchisee and the local authorities to investigate this matter.”

As seen above, in a Facebook posting, Hackett contended that the woman seen getting beaten in the video was actually a man "dressed lik a woman" who got into a confrontation with female patrons when he refused to leave the women’s bathroom at the Baltimore-area eatery. Hackett claimed that the victim faked a seizure and, when cops arrived at the restaurant, “he got right up.”

In other Facebook messages sent Friday by Hackett (see below), he acknowledged filming the fight, denied the victim was transgendered, and claimed he had “No Hate For Anybody…No Matter Tha Gender/Race Or Sexual Preference.” Hackett exchanged messages with Facebook users who wrote him to express anger about the video and his gleeful play-by-play.

Hackett did not reply to TSG messages sent to his Twitter and Facebook pages, which he subsequently deleted late this morning. He also has deleted his YouTube channel.

Why didn't he stop it???? Instead, he filmed it while his buddy kept telling the witches to leave and yet NO ONE HELPED THAT POOR WOMAN. I hope they are all FIRED. Shameful and disgusting.

It's not really about black vs. white or if this victim was female or male or transgender. What is important is that one person was beaten to the point of having a seizure by two other people, while many stood by and watched. It's sad that would happen. Fighting over race and gender just detracts from what is really important. If you see someone getting the crap beaten out of them, dont stand there and watch...help them out. This poor victim may have brain damage from the way they were kicked in the head....What will McDondalds do to all of their employees who just stood by and watched? why did no one lock the doors as soon as they got those girls out??? This is just sad.

Unfortunately, the politically correct, double-standardizing idiots and pandering, establishment hacks have succeeded in making everything about "black and white." It's their warped reverse-discriminatory racist mentality that's taken root in so many weak minds. It's cultivated under the larger umbrella of liberalism. If it was the other way around and someone posted a video of a gang of whites beating a black person while other whites stood around and spectated -- whether the victim was the same gender or "transsexual" or whatever the case may be -- you'd better believe that skin color would be all you'd be hearing about from the race-baiters. Jackson and Sharpton would be holding forth ad nauseam from their bully pulpits, complete with called-for boycotts and what-not. The so-called hate-crime laws would be brought to bear without a second thought. So, you see where we're at.... There's bound to be turnabout every time you see one of these types of videos. It comes from an understandable resentment of glaring double standards and the farce of political correctness.

These restaurants, gas stations and stores need to be SUED Big Time for hiring the kinds of employees that think it is cool to sit there and film these barbarous acts for their own entertainment, and allow innocent customers to be beaten, maimed and murdered by the black criminals. Object lesson: do not hire Blacks and do not allow them in your restaurants.

If that really is a man, this incident takes on a whole different color (pardon the pun). It's a lot more reasonable for two women to beat the shiat out of a man who went into the women's bathroom and refused to leave. I'm not sure what the law on the matter is in Maryland, but in many states it is still a crime for a man to be in a women's bathroom... the kind that puts you on the sex offender list. If that IS a man I'd acquit.

That isn't a man. She may have been a man at one point, but she was obviously post-transition if not cisgendered. Either way, are you saying that you would acquit two girls charged with battery, when the evidence is there that they /brutally/ beat this woman down? You would be discharged as a judge so fast you wouldn't know what hit you. The law is the law - battery is battery, aggravated assault is aggravated assault, both felonies, might I add, under federal law.

I agree that is not a man, but it is definitely a male, and MOST definitely NOT a woman and CANNOT be a woman regardless of how clothed, or how much surgery is done. Women have two X chromosomes; this thing (for lack of a proper pronoun) does not. Which means it doesn't belong in the women's bathroom.

How does that make it okay for two people to dish out their own justice? If you see a "man" in the bathroom, walk out and alert the manager. You could tell by the video these women were enjoying themselves. It was not self defence, it was a game.

"How does that make it okay for two people to dish out their own justice?" Really, the ladies have every right not to have males in their bathroom, regardless of the mental state of the male. I have no problem with cross dressers up to the point where a man thinks it is his right to enter the women's bathroom. I'm not saying it was right for them to do so, but people who have learned that there is no justice to be found elsewhere will occasionally mete it out on their own. If you have a Y chromosome, you do your deeds in the men's bathroom. It really is that simple, it's not hard to understand, it is not unjust in any way. It is the duty of men to respect women, and pretending you're a woman doesn't exempt you from that duty.
