DECEMBER 24--In case you missed it, 2003 was the Year of the Mug Shot. Michael Jackson's pasty face and crimson lips, Glen Campbell's scowling visage, and white supremacist Dion Milam's distinctive tattoos are just a few of the year's booking photo highlights. When we recently gathered images for our deck of mug shot playing cards, TSG tracked down a bunch of never-before-seen photos of famous arrestees, ten of which you'll find on the following pages. From the below 1965 drug bust shot of Johnny Cash (which we found in the archives of the El Paso County Sheriff) to a 1999 photo of a beaming--and imprisoned--Robert Downey Jr., these pictures are among our favorite photos.
