Latest Imus Ranch Roundup

Memo to Howard Stern, Dominic Barbara, and their team of forensic accountants: the new tax return from Don Imus's charity has just been filed with the IRS. But we don't think Howard (who's labeled the charity a "scam") will find anything fishy in The Imus Ranch's latest financials, which cover the period ending February 28, 2001 (the charity had received two filing extensions). The group reported contributions totaling $3.2 million during the year and finished the period with $19.3 million in assets. The charity's largest donors, records show, have been Merrill Lynch CEO David Komansky ($1.43 million), Executive Jet CEO Richard Santulli ($1 million), and billionaire philanthropist Mary Anselmo ($500,000). Since the charity's inception, Imus and his wife have donated $261,680. As Stern listeners know, he has recently obsessed about an Architectural Digest story on the Imus Ranch's well-appointed interiors--so Howie will be happy to learn that "furniture and fixtures" have set Imus's group back $1 million.
