JUNE 18--Nabbed yesterday for indecent exposure, a Memphis man offered cops a unique explanation for his alleged criminal behavior. Augustus Hudgins, 41, was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him "masturbating on the bench in Court Square," according to the a police affidavit. When questioned by cops, Hudgins denied fondling himself, explaining instead that he was "giving [his] penis some air." Despite that claim, Hudgins was booked into the Shelby County jail, where the mug shot at left was snapped. (1 page)
