AUGUST 11--Meet Kristen Margrif. The Michigan woman, 27, is a high school English teacher. So can you guess why she was just arrested? That's right, Margrif has been accused of having sex with a 16-year-old male student (she was arraigned yesterday on seven felony charges and one misdemeanor count). According to investigators, Margrif and the teenager (whose name we've redacted from a criminal complaint) trysted eight times in June and July, either in her car or at the store where the boy is working this summer. Margrif, free on $45,000 bond, has been charged under a Michigan law that makes it a crime for a teacher to have sex with a minor student (even though the state's age of consent is 16).
