While Dreamworks partner Jeffrey Katzenberg can't compete with nemesis Michael Eisner's mammoth foundation, the tiny mogul (he was once known as "Squirt") did deposit $675,000 into his foundation during 1997. But the group made donations totaling only $38,165, down markedly from the charity's 1996 total of about $175,000 in contributions. Perhaps if Katzenberg prevails in his pending breach of contract lawsuit against Eisner and Disney, his philanthropy will again soar. (3 pages)
