Compared to his dad, Michael Douglas, the star of "Wall Street," has
been rather aggressive growing his $4 million foundation. During the
fiscal year ending March 31, 1998, Douglas's organization bought and
sold more than 537,000 shares of stock, a blizzard of transactions
that earned the foundation a hefty six-figure return. Surprisingly,
while Douglas paid his stock broker $78,825 for this work, he donated
a total of only $72,500. What follows is an example of some Douglas
trades and his list of contributions. (2 pages)
