To hear those whiners at the Creative Artists Agency tell it, agent (and former CAA boss) Michael Ovitz is some type of Hun trying to pillage their roster of pampered talent. Well, we say more power to our boy Mikey, who, along with being a sneaky poacher, is quite the little philanthropist. The Ovitz Family Foundation donated $1.145 million in 1997, the majority of which ($1 million) went to the UCLA Foundation. The school also got a mil that year from David Geffen. (2 pages)
