While the names of letter writers have been redacted,
it's a safe bet Gary "Bababooey" Dell'Abate claimed
that a proposed Howard Stern interview would be "news
oriented." At least the guy from Minnesota's WXPT was
honest about his sorry motives. Our favorite pitch, of course, comes from the
venerable Fox News Channel, where Senior Correspondent
Rita Cosby (that's her number on the letterhead) wrote
that she was concerned McVeigh was being treated
unfairly by prison brass. "I will fight for your
rights," Cosby promised. How sweet.
