Mike Nifong, the disgraced and disbarred former North Carolina prosecutor, posed for this Durham County Sheriff's Office mug shot in September 2007 after surrendering to serve a 24-hour sentence stemming from his disastrous handling of the rape case against three Duke University lacrosse players. Nifong,was found guilty of lying to a judge about aspects of the Duke probe, which ended with all charges being dismissed against the accused athletes.
