Will Release Of Obama's Purported Birth Certificate Give Rise To New "Certer" Movement?

This morning’s White House release of President Barack Obama’s long form birth certificate will, of course, do little to derail the “birther” movement, which will now analyze the document with the kind of verve previously directed toward those Texas Air National Guard memos faxed to CBS from that Kinko’s in Abilene.

So here’s a few nutty points about the birth certificate sure to be seized upon by the nonbelievers:

• If the original document was in a bound volume (as reflected by the curvature of the left hand side of the certificate), how can the green patterned background of the document's safety paper be so seamless?

• Why, if Obama was born on August 4, 1961, was the “Date Accepted by Local Reg.” four days later on August 8, 1961?

• What is the significance of the smudges in the box containing the name of the reported attendant?

• David A. Sinclair, the M.D. who purportedly signed the document, died nearly eight years ago at age 81. So he is conveniently unavailable to answer questions about Obama’s reported birth.

• In the “This Birth” box there are two mysterious Xs above “Twin” and “Triplet.” Is there a sibling or two unaccounted for?

• What is the significance of the mysterious numbers, seen vertically, on the document’s right side?

• Finally, the “Signature of Local Registrar” in box 21 may be a desperate attempt at establishing the document’s Hawaiian authenticity. Note to forgers: It is spelled “Ukulele.”

Ah, the debate goes on. I had to take time from this board to grade final papers. Thank you for being concerned how my time is spent. I was born in Georgia in the U.S in 1949. English and other languages are my natural language, as I lived out of the country for a time. I am active in politics. I and many others await legitimate proof of the man's birth. The Constitution must be upheld.
Timmi.. You have no idea what you are talking about. The vote in the Senate to state that McCain was a citizen was because McCain wasnt actually born "on American soil" per se. He was born in the Panama canal zone(US property) to a US soldier, as alot of people were at the time. A law was passed that said everyone born in the panama canal zone after x date was a US citizen. The problem McCain had was he was born before x date which prompted the senate vote on his citizenship. As for what your state is doing with requiring proof of citizenship or whatever.. That will last about 20 seconds in federal court
The fact remains, obama has not presented a legitimate birth certificate, Location notwithstanding, the ruling on McCain was that his qualification was met by his parents being citizens. If this requirement is disregarded, any illegal born on U.S. soil may become President.
Any illegal born on US soil CAN become President, provided they meet the requirements of Art 2 Sec 1 (35 years old and a resident of the US for 14 years). There's no law preventing it, and if there were, it most likely would be struck down as unconstitutional, just as every other "restrictive" citizenship law in US history has been. Jus soli is pretty much a uniquely American concept these days, most other countries have much different requirements for citizenship, especially in Europe. IDK where you're from, maybe the idea of jus soli is a very foreign concept that you're having a hard time getting your head around.
All precepts and rulings of the original intent of the Constitution state that is not true. If anyone is allowed to be President of the United States, the nation is truly doomed.
I bet those "mysterious numbers & markings" are from another piece of paper that was written on top of the Birth certificate. It looks like the same type of ink that is used in carbon copy forms. PPL will believe anything, especially ppl hoping for a conspiracy.
the person who forged this BC doesn't know that the medical facility where Obama was most likely born was called Kapiolani Maternity Home in 1961 and was known as such until 1978 when they merged with another medical facility under the current name (see their website). THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A "KAPIOLANI MATERNITY & GYNECOLOGICAL HOSPITAL" IN Hawaii. that is not the name of the current hospital. in 1961, the elder Obama's race would have been recorded as N E G R O.
You guys are hurtin' me. Do a little research. There are examples of Hawaiian birth certificates from 1961 which match the hospital in question. I'll make it easy for you, go here: http://state-of-the-nation.com/5878/nor***-twins-born-barack-obama-birt...
@action hero You're on the right track as me but I took it a step further. Former resident of Hawaii, I went on instinct. Using Bing maps to verify my information Kapiolani Medical Center couldn't possibly be on 6085 Kalanianaole Highway...as it was built at 1319 Punahou Street. Bing those directions and they're just over 8 miles away! Who the *** does the government think they're fooling here?!?
Unfortunately, they are fooling numerous people. No one in Congress is pursuing this. John McCain was deemed eligible by the fact both parents were U.S citizens, even obama agreed on this. The Constitution's intent is to prevent people with possible allegiance to other nations becoming President of the United States.
