Man Tells Cops Thief Took His Pot

MAY 12--If somebody breaks into your home and steals the .22-caliber pistol you bought off the street and your stash of pot, it's probably best to just chalk it up as a loss. But John Randolph isn't the type of guy to let a burglary go unreported. The 29-year-old school bus driver last week reported the theft to incredulous Georgia cops, noting that an intruder entered his house through an unlocked back door and swiped four bags of marijuana and his gat (along with a few other less interesting items like a rope necklace and $30 in change). As the below Dublin Police Department report shows, while his occupation raised concerns with the local cops (who prefer that kiddie transporters aren't stoned), Randolph assured them "he was saving the marijuana to smoke when school was out." Phew! The other perpetrator is still at large. (2 pages)
