Snoop Joins 50 Cent In Suing Car Dealer

AUGUST 31--Snoop Dogg is following in the footsteps of 50 Cent and takin' it to the courts. In a federal suit filed yesterday in Pennsylvania, rapper Calvin Broadus accuses Philadelphia area car dealer Gary Barbera of trademark infringement by using newspaper ads with his picture and 'distinct speech pattern' to sell Chryslers. According to the below complaint, the ads, both carrying the tagline 'Is Bar-Bizzle the Sh-izzle? Boy I Gu-izzle' were published in the Philadelphia Daily News on August 22, just three days after Fiddy filed his $1 million suit against the same car dealer. But unlike Curtis Jackson, Snoop, who is looking for a payday of more than $2 million, can presently be seen in TV ads along with golfing buddy and former Chrysler boss Lee Iacocca shilling the same cars as Barbera.
