Robber Pointed Gun At Grocery Store Clerk And Demanded To Know His Presidential Preference

A robber who last night held up an Ohio grocery store pointed a gun at a clerk and repeatedly demanded to know whom the man voted for in the presidential election. When the worker said that he could not vote, the gunman announced, “Vote Obama. This is Obama, bitches.”

The swing state stickup occurred at the Convenient Food Mart in Warren, a city 15 miles north of Youngstown. The suspect--described as a black male wearing a bandana covering his face--fled the business with $800 from the cash register.

Before departing, the armed robber quizzed clerk Surendra Patel about his electoral preference, according to a Warren Police Department report. “The suspect asked Patel several times who he voted for while pointing the gun at him.”

Cops have not made an arrest in connection with the robbery, which was captured on store surveillance video.  An officer “took a swab of some spit that was in the area where the suspect was possibly standing.”

Police were dispatched to the market at 7:52 PM, 22 minutes after polls closed in the state.
