Radio host Don Imus's drive to raise money for a New Mexico ranch where sick children can "experience the life of the American cowboy" has been a smashing success. The Imus Ranch raised $12.5 million during the fiscal year ending February 28, 1999, according to this IRS return filed recently by the charitable group. The 12 mil represents more than triple what Imus had expected to raise, other IRS filings reveal. The tax documents, though, do not detail Imus's donors--a list that reportedly includes most of his show's literary, political, and journalistic regulars. Eat your heart out, Howard Stern! (5 pages)
