Meet Tanya Collins. The 29-year-old Florida woman was arrested Wednesday (9/25) by the Pasco County Sheriff and charged with child abuse. According to this complaint affidavit, the mother of four fired a BB gun at her 10-year-old son after the boy climbed a tree to avoid getting into her car (he reportedly was afraid that they were going to visit her fiance). The incident, which took place about six weeks ago, came to the attention of authorities after an anonymous call was made to a child abuse hotline. (3 pages)
