Cops: Naked Duo Was Having Sex In Stolen RV

JULY 10--A West Virginia couple was naked and having sex in a stolen RV when a cop pulled the moving vehicle over after spotting the driver being straddled by his intoxicated female passenger, according to a criminal complaint.  

During the traffic stop last Wednesday afternoon in Bluefield, an Appalachian Mountains city, a patrolman approached the RV and found Shannon Bryant, 35, now sitting behind the wheel.   

“A passerby yelled out that the occupants had switched seats before I made contact with them,” stated Officer R.L. Hamm, who added that Matthew McDonnell, 48, was in the passenger seat.

“I inquired about their actions while the vehicle was in motion,” Hamm reported. “To which Ms. Bryant candidly responded, ‘We were fucking.’”

Bryant, who “appeared to be highly intoxicated,” and McDonnell were ordered out of the RV. After being read his rights, McDonnell reportedly admitted that he and Bryant “were naked and attempting to engage in sexual activity while driving” and that they switched seats upon spotting the squad car.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up drug paraphernalia and a bag containing a white powdery substance. Investigators recovered painkillers and a broken glass pipe in the area where Bryant told police that McDonnell had thrown drugs from the vehicle during the traffic stop.

A vehicle check revealed that the RV had been reported stolen from Princeton, a nearby city.

Bryant and McDonnell (seen above) were arrested for indecent exposure, drug possession, DUI, and possession of a stolen vehicle. Both defendants--who have pleaded not guilty--have extensive criminal records and have not been able to post bond. (2 pages)
