DECEMBER 23--Facing an aggravated assault charge, White Stripes frontman Jack White this morning quietly turned himself in to police, walking in the back door of Detroit's 13th Precinct, where he posed for the below mug shot (instead of his standard red/white getups, White opted for a natty pinstripe number). The rock star, 28, was booked on the misdemeanor count, posted $100 bond, and "quickly left" the precinct, according to a police spokesperson. White was charged yesterday in connection with his December 13 pummeling of Jason Stollsteimer, a singer/guitarist with The Von Bondies, a Motor City alt rock band. (1 page)
