| Q: Do DNA tests link sportscaster Marv Albert to the alleged sexual
assault of a Virginia woman? A: Yesss!
Here's a police lab report, filed this week in the Arlington County
Circuit Court, detailing how genetic evidence ties the NBC broadcaster to
a February encounter in an Arlington hotel room. Laboratory tests
matched an Albert blood sample with semen recovered from the victim's
clothes and her chest. Other genetic material, recovered from a bite mark
on the woman's back, also matched Albert's DNA profile. Albert, who
denies any wrongdoing, is scheduled to face trial September 22 on sodomy
and assault charges. Please note that while we never alter
documents on our site, we have deleted the name of the victim of
this alleged
sexual attack from this report. Thanks to Allison Bowles, The
Smoking Gun's
northern Virginia bureau chief, for tracking down this document. (6 pages)
