Already struggling with a plummeting stock price and lost revenues due to last week's extended outage, the online auction site eBay was just hoaxed, The Smoking Gun's Joseph Jesselli reports, by some prankster offering a $2 million cocaine stash. Sunday evening (June 13), the drug was listed for sale by someone using the handle "capplegate" and claiming to live in Hollywood. "We're selling Pure, Uncut Cocaine," announced auction 117214617, which carried a photo of the supposed coke and advised bidders to "get your 8 ball today." It took the harried eBay crew about 18 hours to yank the auction--but not before TSG got this hilarious screen capture. (1 page)
