Eventually, every web surfer finds their way, if only for a moment, to the St. Paul Police Department's weekly photo roundup of hookers and johns nabbed in prostitution sweeps. During a recent visit to the site, we noticed that cops were soliciting, via an online link, "prostitution or vice related comments and questions." So TSG filed a request under Minnesota's Data Practices Act for copies of e-mail received by the St. Paul police in response to this electronic entreaty. As it turned out, the rants, raves, queries, and observations sent from around the world did not disappoint (the department gave us e-mail received during the first six months of 2000).
