United Airlines Files For Chapter 11

United Airlines, the world's second largest air carrier, filed for Chapter 11 this morning (12/9) in the bankruptcy court for the Northern District of Illinois. The company, which has lost about four billion dollars in two years, commenced the bankruptcy proceeding in an attempt to reorganize its massive debts. Today's filing--which you'll find below--includes a "Top 20 List" of the banks, airports, caterers, plane builders, and government agencies that hold the largest claims against United. (16 pages)
