Could one of these be IT? Like everyone else, TSG is obsessing over the mystery invention that will reportedly change the world: Is it a hovercraft? A solar-powered jetpack? Since we're not best buds with inventor Dean Kamen, we've had to prowl patent files to come up with our best guess. On December 14, Kamen and several cohorts received an international patent from the World Intellectual Property Organization for a "personal mobility vehicle." Included in Kamen & Co.'s patent application were a description of the computer-stabilized invention and a variety of fascinating drawings. We're not sure how these babies will be powered, but they all look like quite a ride. (10 pages)
