Busted for indecent exposure, Memphis man give cops unique excuse

JUNE 18--Nabbed yesterday for indecent exposure, a Memphis man offered cops a unique explanation for his alleged criminal behavior. Augustus Hudgins, 41, was arrested after witnesses reported seeing him "masturbating on the bench in Court Square," according to the below police affidavit. When questioned by cops, Hudgins denied fondling himself, explaining instead that he was "giving [his] penis some air." Despite that claim, Hudgins was booked into the Shelby County jail, where the mug shot at right was snapped. (1 page)
