Big Score For Lap Dance Dummies
New Mexico teens will not be charged for "Fantasy World" marathon
OCTOBER 19--In a marvelous legal precedent for horny boys everywhere, prosecutors have decided to drop felony charges filed against two New Mexico teenagers who ran up a hefty strip club bill that they could not pay. Craig Everett and Malik Wakji, both 18, were arrested in late August following their inaugural trip to a gentlemen's club (in this case, Albuquerque's Fantasy World). According to a felony criminal complaint, the duo received more than 40 songs worth of lap dances in the club's VIP room from dancers Orchid Tao and Carmela Sisneros. After racking up nearly $2500 in charges, the teens could only come up with $550 between them, explaining that they were unaware that the $20 lap dances lasted only as long as a song played. Young Everett told cops that he "thought the dance was just one continuous dance." Amazingly, Bernalillo County prosecutors bought this ridiculous explanation and just let the pair off the hook, last week filing Metropolitan Court notices declining prosecution against the supposed rubes.
